Chronicle of the Tocco

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chronicle of the Tocco ( Middle Greek Το Χρονικό των Τόκκων ) is a chronicle of 15 blank verses , written in the Middle Greek language .

It is about Carlo I. Tocco , the Count Palatine of Kefalonia and Zakynthos , and describes the period from 1375 to 1425 at the court of the Tocci . The author presumably comes from the immediate environment of the Count Palatine, but remains unknown. Only its origin from Ioannina is considered certain. The text was published before June 1429, another copy exists from the 16th century.
