Chronicle of 1234

The chronicle of 1234 is an anonymous west Syrian chronicle .

The chronicle was probably written by an unknown Christian author in the middle of the 13th century and describes the time from creation to the year 1234. The author probably came from Edessa . His sources included Dionysius von Tell Mahre and (mediated by Dionysius) Theophilos von Edessa . Church history and political history are dealt with.
