Church and Wellesley is a district of the Canadian city of Toronto .

  • south of Gerrard Street
  • west of Yonge Street
  • north of Charles Street
  • east of Jarvis Street

The eponymous streets Church Street and Wellesley Street intersect in the borough.

Sights and culture

Church and Wellesley is home to numerous pubs, bars and shops, most of which cater to a gay audience. Every year on a weekend in this part of Toronto, the Christopher Street Day parade and Pride Week take place, which now attracts thousands of visitors with a mix of information stands for same-sex groups, show stages as well as snack bars and sales stands and has developed into a tourist attraction.
