Chwalimierz is a village in Gmina Środa Śląska in Lower Silesia , Poland . Before the village became Polish in 1945, it belonged to Germany and was called Frankenthal .

location

The village is located about two kilometers southeast of Środa Śląska and about 31 kilometers from the city of Wroclaw . The area around the village is rural, with forests and fields alternating. In the immediate vicinity of the village is the Chwalimierz Palace , a castle that is now only a ruin.
