Ciara (pronunciation / ˈkiːrə / or / ˈkɪərə /) is an Irish female given name, which is derived from ciar "black". The corresponding male form is Ciarán or Kieran (anglicized spelling).

With a different pronunciation (/ siːˈɑrə /) Ciara is a modern American given name, which is given mainly by African Americans.

The Italian first name Chiara is pronounced similarly, but is not related to the Irish first name Ciara.
