Cinespañol

Cinespañol is a film tour with festival-award-winning films from Latin America and Spain that has been seen in around 50 cinemas in Germany , Austria and Switzerland every year by an estimated 20,000 visitors since 2011 . All films are shown in the original Spanish version with German subtitles. The tour was founded by the film distributor Cine Global. It is sponsored by the Embassy of Spain, the Instituto Cervantes and the German Association of Spanish Teachers.

Cinespañol serves as a platform for the European market for many Latin American and Spanish directors. It was presented to the public at the Locarno Film Festival in 2012 as a new film exploitation option with which smaller films can also reach their target audience.

To the previously shown Spanish films include 18 comidas , Camera Obscura , Carmina o Revienta & Torrente 4 , from Argentina come De Martes a Viernes , El Nido Vacío , Escuela Normal , La suerte en tus manos & Tiempos Menos Modernos , from Colombia Jardin de Amapolas , Personal Belongings from Cuba , Pescador from Ecuador , Puro Mula from Guatemala , Zona Sur from Bolivia and Abel from Mexico .

The Cinescolar program was specially developed for schools, giving teachers access to accompanying educational material.
