City Association Zurich

The City Association of the City of Zurich is an umbrella organization for businesses and private individuals in the city center. The association has set itself the goal of adapting the political and economic conditions to their needs. A special collective labor contract is negotiated especially for the city center , which enables shop owners to determine longer shop opening times. It ensures that Zurich remains competitive with other major cities. Anyone who lives or works in downtown Zurich can become a member or sponsor.

Summer festival

The association repeatedly initiates campaigns to beautify the city center with original subjects. The artistically designed sculptures are intended to attract tourists and boost sales in the shops. After Löwen (1986), Kühen (1998) and Bänken (2001), over 500 teddy bears were distributed in the streets of the city and at "outposts" such as the airport in the summer of 2005.

In summer 2009, large, brightly painted pots were set up at the Gartencity Zurich 2009 campaign .

After a 6-year hiatus, the 2015 summer festival attracted attention! instead of. The association wanted to seduce passers-by to let their gaze wander from the ground up.

Parking guidance system

So that the city is also attractive for users of private transport , the association has acquired shares in PLS Parkleitsystem AG , which is responsible for the city's parking garages. The city itself is also involved in this project.
