Clémentine Shakembo Kamanga (born January 25, 1950 in Lusambo ) is a diplomat of the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

Life

She studied psychology at the University of Paris VIII and graduated with a master's degree. In 1975 she completed an internship in international relations with a focus on the United Nations in Moscow . In 1976 she joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she worked in the Department of Multilateral Relations and later in the Department for International Organizations.

From 1980 to 1984 she worked at the then Zairean embassy in Washington, DC . In 1984 she completed a course in international relations at the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris . From 1988 to 1993 she worked as a secretary in the Foreign Ministry. From 1996 to 2000 she worked in the embassy of her country in Lisbon , Portugal . She was there as Chargé ad interim and worked in the area of economic and bilateral cooperation. Between 2001 and 2002 she was an advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2002 to 2007 she headed the America, Asia and Oceania Section in the Congolese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From February to April 2004 she was interim Secretary General of the Ministry. From August 2007 to October 2008 she was diplomatic advisor to the Foreign Minister and then from January 2009 advisor on political issues and relations with institutions in the Foreign Minister's office.

On November 11, 2009 she became the ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Germany .

Clémentine Shakembo Kamanga is committed to feminism and is co-founder of the Congolese women's initiative Provost Marshal / ASBL and honorary member of the Propre environmental group .

Clémentine Shakembo Kamanga is married and a mother. She speaks English , French and Portuguese .
