Classic Endurance Racing
The Classic Endurance Racing (CER) is a 2004 racing series founded in historic motorsport for GT vehicles and touring cars and sports prototypes of the years 1966 up to and including the 1979th
Set of rules

Only vehicles that took part in at least one of the long-distance races at that time at Le Mans , Sebring , Daytona , Brands Hatch , Monza , Spa-Francorchamps , Nürburgring and Silverstone are currently eligible .
The racing series covers Grid5 and Grid6 of the Le Mans Classic and is a qualification step to take part in the Le Mans Classic, which is held every two years.
The Classic Endurance Racing Series consists of five races a year over an hour each. Until 2009, the championship took part in the 1000 km race of the Le Mans Series , and since 2010 has been going its own way with two independent races. A race weekend consists of a training session, two 30-minute qualifying sessions and a one-hour race. Each car can be controlled by up to two drivers. In order not to disadvantage vehicles with several drivers, each participant must go to the pits between the 25th and 35th minute. In addition, a standstill time of one minute is required during the pit stop, regardless of whether a driver change is necessary or not.
Professional racing drivers are allowed in the series, but no championship points are credited to them and therefore do not take part in the championship.
The starting field is divided into four groups:
- PROTO1: Sports prototypes built and used between 1966 and 1972
- PROTO2: Sports prototypes built and used between 1973 and 1979 inclusive
- GT1: GT and touring cars built and used between 1966 and 1972
- GT2: GT and touring cars built and used between 1973 and 1979 inclusive
