Classis
The term Classis ( Latin for "summoning", also in the sense of "summons", "summons") denotes:
- a class of Roman citizens according to the division of Servius Tullius

- Classis Britannica with home port in Gesoriacum , which operated in the English Channel
- Classis Germanica with home port in Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium (Cologne), which operated on the Rhine

- Classis Pannonica , which operated on the Danube, Drava and Save rivers
- Classis Pontica , in the Black Sea operated
- Classis Ravennatis with home port Classis near Ravenna
- Classis Seleucena , who secured the Orontes
