Claudia Gruber

Claudia Christine Gruber (* 1966 ) is a German archaeologist from the Middle East .

Life

Claudia Gruber studied Near Eastern Archeology at the University of Munich and completed her studies with a master's degree. Subsequently, Gruber received his doctorate at the Faculty of Cultural Studies in the field of Near Eastern Archeology at the University of Munich with a dissertation on furniture decor made of ivory: for the reconstruction of carved decorations on ancient oriental furniture .

Gruber has been entrusted with the conception and maintenance of an image database since 2001. Since 2003 Gruber has been curator of the collection of the Institute for Near Eastern Archeology at the University of Munich, a collection of originals and plaster casts for teaching and research purposes. Since the beginning of 2016 she has been leading a project to catalog the institute's collection.
