Location of Clemens-August-Dorf in Lower Saxony

Clemens-August-Dorf (named after Clemens August Graf von Galen ) is a district of the city of Damme (Lower Saxony).

history

The village was built after the end of the Second World War southwest of the city by the local association Damme of the Cardinal-Graf-von-Galen-Siedlungswerkes . The reason for the construction was the housing shortage of displaced persons and refugees. In contrast to the establishment of other settlements, local interests were also taken into account in the construction of Clemens-August-Dorf.
