Close Up was an Austrian television program for children and young people.
In the style of an infotainment magazine, new topics were presented every week. In addition, everyday problems of the young viewers were taken up, and psychologist Elke von Rat auf Draht gave helpful tips. Every week viewers could choose the “video of the week” via online voting and watch it in the next program.
The show was moderated alternately by Nina Saurugg and Georg Urbanitsch , supported by two young moderators. On June 28, 2008, after more than two years of running, the program was discontinued.
