Coachee

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For coachee is a person if they have a coaching takes to complete. The term coachee was created in analogy to the pair of terms trainer / trainee . However, this is not a subordinate relationship: coachees are always at eye level in social interaction with the coach. The coach and coachee are equal parties.

The terms customer or client , which are often used synonymously in German, do not adequately describe the relationship between coach and coachee. Customers or clients are often in passive counseling situations or simply purchase a service that is provided by an expert. The relationship between the coachee and his coach is more strictly defined. The coachee is always actively involved in the coaching process and develops the solution himself; his role as a coachee is limited in time.
