Cogan's syndrome

Under Cogan's syndrome refers to two different diseases with ocular involvement. The name goes back to the person who first described it, David Glendering Cogan (1908–1993), an American ophthalmologist :

• the Cogan-I syndrome - an autoimmune disease involving ears and eyes
• the Cogan syndrome , sometimes known as Cogan's syndrome II
