Colorow
Colorow was a chief of the Muache Ute Indians.
He was one of several important chiefs ( Ouray , Nicaagat , Quinkent ) of the Ute.
After the peace treaty between the Ute and the whites was concluded in 1868, he lived on a small reservation near Denver until around 1875 . After the reservation was dissolved, he joined Chief Nicaagat's group in the White River Agency. In 1879 Colorow took part in a brief uprising under Chief Nicaagat.
