Comet in Lincoln Park ( North Dartmouth , Massachusetts , USA ) was a wooden roller coaster manufactured by the National Amusement Device Company , which opened in 1946.

After an accident on September 29, 1987, in which four people were injured because the brakes failed, the runway was closed, but remained in place until July 2012. In 2005 broke Lifthill the Comet together.

The 914 m long route reached a height of 20 m and had a top speed of 89 km / h.

Trains

Comet owned two trains with five cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car. Although the trains originally had five cars, the trains have been shortened to four cars in the last few years of operation. The parts of the removed cars were used as spare parts for the remaining cars. After the park closed, the trains were bought from Little Amerricka Park with the intention of making a copy of Comet and using the trains on it. To date, however, this has not been implemented.
