Commercial Press
The Commercial Press ( Chinese 商務印書館 / 商务印书馆 , Pinyin Shangwu Yìnshūguǎn , W.-G. Shang wu yin-shu-kuan , abbr. CP ) is a publisher in China. It was founded by Xia Ruifang (夏瑞芳; 1871-1914) in Shanghai in 1897 and was the first modern publishing house in China. The head office is now in Beijing .
