Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation

The Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives Federation (dt. Commonwealth Federation for nurses and midwives ) was founded in 1973 as an umbrella organization of nursing and midwifery associations in the states of the Commonwealth. The multinational organization is divided into six regions: Asia, East, Central and South Africa, West Africa, the Pacific, the Atlantic and Europe The aims of the association are to influence the health policy of the Commonwealth, to set up care networks, to strengthen care education and to increase nursing skills to increase the development of standards and the leadership skills of caregivers. The Federation is a recognized organization of the Commonwealth and operates among other things. a. with the International Council of Nurses and the World Health Organization .
