Communications of the ACM

Communications of the ACM ( CACM ) is a trade journal published by the Association for Computing Machinery . It has been published monthly since 1958. For members of the ACM, it is included in the membership fee. In addition to regular columns on current developments in various areas of computer science , it also contains specialist articles that are subject to peer review . Often individual issues are devoted to a specific focus topic.

According to the Institute for Scientific Information, it is one of the ten most cited journals in the areas of hardware architecture and software technology . All previously published issues are also available to subscribers as electronic journals .
