Comodo Dragon is a Chromium- based web browser from Comodo Group from USA and describes itself as a faster, more secure version of Chrome and has been available since 2009.
The browser only runs under the Windows operating system . It is comparable to the Iron web browser, but it is equipped with additional security functions and can also be set up portable during regular installation .
The full Chrome-compatible offer can be used as extensions and apps within the scope of the usual version restrictions. Extensions that were developed by Comodo are also supplied, such as the Media Downloader, with which you can download streamed videos or music.
Comodo Dragon Browser is a parallel development to Comodo Chromium Secure Browser , in which the design has been slightly changed.
Security functions
Invalid SSL certificates, cookies and spy software are recognized and blocked. In addition, in contrast to Google Chrome, no randomly generated token is sent during installation to track the number of installations. The RLZ identifier is also not used as with Google Chrome, which is used to track how and in which week the application was downloaded, as well as to track advertising. It is also offered Comodo's products with its own DNS - Server equip. Instead of the Google Updater, a dedicated updater is also used. An additional function is that there is a setting with which the browser deletes cookies or the history after exiting.
