Computer-aided office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

CAO ( computer-aided office ) stands for computer-aided management and is part of computer-integrated manufacturing .

tasks

  • Electronic data exchange with suppliers and customers . For example, the customer orders online → A confirmation is automatically sent to his email address → The delivery note and invoice are printed out for further processing.
  • Automatic creation of invoices . For example, in a company, the dispatch of goods is recorded electronically. The system automatically creates and sends the invoice after this electronic confirmation - possibly taking into account the value date and other customer requests.
  • Evaluation of cost changes.
  • Processing of special customer requests. E.g. changes to the product.

In order to be able to fulfill the tasks mentioned, the computer-aided administration (CAO) must work together with the individual areas of computer-aided production ( CIM ).
