history

The Congressforum Frankenthal was founded in 1991 according to the plans of Alexander Freiherr von Branca on the site of the former Frankenthal sugar factory “F. and C. Karcher ”- the former largest German sugar production facility. With the “New Conference Center” the Congressforum Frankenthal expanded its capacities by 1000 m² to a total area of ​​3500 m².

architecture

Alexander von Branca's architecture is characterized by the use of large walls and facing with natural stones. Both typical features that the Congressforum Frankenthal also has. By taking up ancient building elements in a modern, abstract form, von Branca created an extraordinary colonnade architecture.

Space

The Congress Forum has a large hall, hall of mirrors, conference center, meeting rooms, artist room and culinarium. The large hall , with a floor area of ​​954 m², offers space for 1025 people. Thanks to hydraulic lifting platforms , the hall can be used both as a concert hall with an orchestra pit, and as an exhibition or ballroom at ground level. The 300 m² mirror hall is used for meetings and banquets . Six further conference rooms offer space for up to 110 people.

In the new conference center, up to 6 conference rooms between 100 and 680 m² can be set up. The conference foyer also offers sufficient space and connects the new building with the rest of the building complex. The maximum capacity of the conference center is 1032 people.

The maximum capacity of all rooms is 3073 people.
