Conner Peripherals was a company that manufactured hard drives for personal computers .
Conner Peripherals was founded in 1986 by Finis Conner . Compaq helped the company with the financing and was one of the most important buyers for many years. In 1993, tape drive manufacturing began through the acquisition of Archive Corporation . In 1996, Conner merged with Seagate.
Finis Conner had previously co-founded Seagate Technology in 1979 and founded Conner Technologies in 1998 .
