Klenz and the estate were mentioned in 1314. The estate was owned by the Levetzow family for over 400 years, and by the Hahn family on Remplin since 1796 . Jacobson fought for a reform of Jewish worship and campaigned for the education of poor Jewish boys by founding a school in Seesen / Harz that was highly regarded. In 1872 Carl von Treuenfels bought the estate and built the existing manor house. The Treuenfels family kept it until 1945.

Schrödershof was named after the owner (from 1803) Heinrich Christoph Schroeder. The demolished mansion was built in 1868 for his grandson Anton Schroeder (1826 to 1882), the existing stable building with a partial hip and center type gable 1914. 1935 was settled Schrödershof in five courtyards.
