geography

The districts of Buchholz , Buchholz-Heide, Fahrenholz and Nienhusen belong to Ziesendorf .

The community of Ziesendorf lies in a ground moraine area between the Waidbach and the Beke , a left tributary of the Warnow and is about 12 km from the port and Hanseatic city of Rostock . The district of Fahrenholz is enclosed in a semicircle by the nature reserves of the Fahrenholzer Forest and the Waidbach- Aue .

history

In 1298 the village was first mentioned in a document as "Cisendhorp".

In 1611, in Fahrenholz, then a Meierhof , the Fahrholz partition contract was negotiated and concluded, which led to the second main division of Mecklenburg .

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipality of Nienhusen was incorporated.
