history
Rövershagen: The city of Rostock acquired the land of the Rostocker Heide and thus the later Rövershagen on March 25, 1252 from Prince Borwin for an amount of 450 marks. It is believed that the over a square mile of forest still had to be reclaimed. Soon after the clearing of what would later become the Hagendorf Purkshagen in 1267, "however, the clearing of the forest under the initiative of the two Rövers, Arnold and Eberhard, of whom the latter was a councilor in Rostock, took a strong boom". Rövershagen and his church were first mentioned in a document from 1305 as "iuxta ecclesiam nouam in Rouershagen". This document also names two jug houses on the country road to Ribnitz and next to the church, so that it must have been a larger settlement.
Purkshof: The two-story manor house was renovated.
