history
Warnkenhagen was first mentioned in a document in 1398. The brick church, which has been restored several times, dates from this time. Landowners were u. a. the von Vieregge families (after 1656), frequent changes of ownership in the 18th century, Counts von Hessenstein (from 1803), Pogge (from 1830), W. Müller (from 1863), von Bülow (from 1863) and von Schlieffen (from 1872). The manor house dates from the 19th century.
Gottin , an originally Slavic settlement, was first mentioned in 1589. There was a manor in the village until the 20th century. The estate was previously owned by the von Lehsten family , at the beginning of the 19th century it was owned by Helmuth Theodor Petersen and, from 1825, by the Parish family. The Hamburg banker Parish had today's manor house built on the foundations of an older building from 1830 to 1835. In 1873 the estate came into the possession of the von Maltzan family , in 1899 Adolf von Lowtzow acquired the estate and in 1934 Kurt Hagen. Johann Heinrich von Thünen (1783–1850) worked here from the beginning to the middle of the 19th century , whose work is documented in the Thünen Museum , which opened in 1972 . On July 1, 1950, Gottin was incorporated. In 2001 a community center was inaugurated in Gottin.
Tellow is connected to the agricultural scientist and social reformer Johann Heinrich von Thünen , who worked on the estate from 1810 to 1850. Landowners were u. a. the families von Lehsten (before 1654), councilor Clandrian (until 1660), von Bülow (until 1702), von Lehsten (until 1703), von Hein (until 1759), von Reuter (until 1766), von Kettenburg (until 1783) , von Maydell (until 1790), von Plessen (until 1797), Berlin (until 1807), Schroeder (until 1813), Johann Heinrich von Thünen and Erben (until 1897), von Kettenburg (until 1923) and Ulrich Alwardt (until 1938 ). The manor house (19th century) is now a museum. On July 1, 1950 Tellow was incorporated.
On January 1, 1952, Pölitz was spun off.
