Kuhs is a municipality in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). The community is administered by the Güstrow-Land Office, which is based in the non-official city of Güstrow .

geography

Located on the national highway 103 located street village between Güstrow and Laage is located in a slightly undulating which slopes to the east to a wide valley. The Augraben drains this valley and is connected to the upper Recknitz .

history

The first mention in a document goes back to the year 1286. At that time the place was called Cuziz , which indicates a former Slavic settlement. The early name Zely of today's district of Zehlendorf is also of Slavic origin and can be translated as herb .

Attractions

The Zehlendorfer Moor nature reserve is well worth seeing .
