Broderstorf is a municipality in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It is the seat of the Carbäk Office , to which three other municipalities belong.

Geographical location

Broderstorf is about eight km east of Rostock . The community lies on a plate between the valleys of the Warnow and Recknitz in the northern foreland of the Pomeranian main terminal moraine .

history

Broderstorf

Broderstorf was first mentioned in a document on October 16, 1327. The village was on the important trade route from Lübeck via Rostock to Stettin . On a map from 1650 the place was still called Broderstorp .

Districts

The districts of Neu Roggentin, Pastow and Broderstorf are typical street villages , while Neuendorf and Teschendorf are estate villages in terms of their layout.

Neuendorf: The estate was u. a. owned by the von Walsleben families (from before 1775), Samuel Salomon (from 1872) and Baller (1892–1945).

Öftenhäven: The approx. 600 ha large former Öftenhäven estate was owned by the Heinrich Kelb family as a hereditary lease from 1886 to 1924 . The single-storey renovated manor house was rebuilt until 1918.

Teschendorf: Landowners were u. a. the families von Preen (1375–1803), von Langen (until 1807), von Sielstorpff (until 1819), Wendt (until 1828), Schlettwein (until 1878), Junge (until 1890), Kindermann (until 1899), Collalto ( 1899–1902, 1902–1911 as representative Syndikus Dahlmann) and Titus-Livius (1922–1937). The manor house dates from 1830 and was rebuilt in a neo-baroque style around 1900 .

Incorporations

Steinfeld was incorporated into Broderstorf on January 1, 2013.

The increase in the number of inhabitants in 2015 is due to the incorporation of Steinfeld in 2013.

The coat of arms was approved by the Ministry of the Interior on April 3, 2001 and registered under the number 241 of the coat of arms of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Blazon : "In blue over two lowered silver wave threads a torn, red-tongued golden griffin head."

The coat of arms was designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick .

The federal highway 110 runs through Broderstorf between Rostock and Demmin . The closest motorway junctions are Rostock-Süd on the A 19 (Rostock – Berlin) and Sanitz on the A 20 (Rostock – Uckermark triangle ).

Broderstorf station is on the Rostock – Ticino railway line . It is served by the regional train line RB 11 ( Wismar - Rostock - Ticino) every hour.
