Ulrich Peck

Ulrich Peck (born January 20, 1948 in Stilow ) is a German entrepreneur, former GDR politician and as the former 1st secretary of the FDJ district leadership, 1st secretary of the SED district leadership for the Rostock district and last 1st secretary of the SED- District management Rostock a representative of the SED - nomenklatura .

After Ernst Timm's resignation , on November 12, 1989, Peck was appointed the last first secretary of the SED district leadership of the Rostock district. From December 3, 1989 he was a member of the working committee for the transformation of the SED into the SED-PDS. In this special committee, he worked together with the Potsdam historian Kurt Finker , as well as Kurt Libera , Gisela Schott , Günter Benser , Manfred Banaschak , Rolf Hoth , Heinz Vietze to prepare the paper that was later read by Michael Schumann at the special party conference of the SED / PDS on August 8th ./9. After the political change in the GDR and the accession to the Federal Republic of Germany, he worked as an independent dealer for vehicles of the car brand Honda . After a New Year's party on January 3, 2004, together with the former GDR State Council Chairman Egon Krenz , Honda terminated his dealership contract without notice. On January 22, 2004, the Hamburg Regional Court rejected this dismissal as unjustified. In the 2014 local elections in Broderstorf , Peck won a seat on the local council for leftists .
