history
On December 5, 1290, the place Dalkendorf appears for the first time in a document. In 1638 Dalkendorf was princely property and belonged to Lütten Wokern (Klein Wokern). In 1704 Dalkendorf was released from Klein Wokern and the state domain was leased. The former manor house still exists today.
Before 1415 to 1481 the von Barold sat on Appelhagen. Appelhagen was related to the von Zepelin family and was first mentioned in 1481. Ownership was changed again and again within the extensive von Zepelin family. The park at the former manor house is home to numerous beautiful trees, old oaks and a bald cypress on an island in the pond. This includes a chapel.
The first written mention of the district of Bartelshagen dates back to 1629. The agricultural reformer Carl Pogge worked here from 1829 , who was close friends with the like-minded Johann Heinrich von Thünen .
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities Amalienhof and Bartelshagen were incorporated.
Amalienhof was first mentioned in 1793. The vacant Amalienhof manor house burned down at the end of 2004.
The municipality also made the increase in agricultural yields through new methods known nationwide. The area around Dalkendorf is still shaped today by agriculture. A few hundred meters from the Appelhagen district is the Teterower Bergring , one of the most beautiful grass tracks in northern Germany. International motorcycle races have been held here for many years .
