Church and cemetery with stone wall, gates, mausoleum and war memorial 1914/18 Buchholz was first mentioned in a document in the middle of the 14th century as a parish and church village; In the Middle Ages the church belonged to the Archdeaconate Rostock. It is first mentioned in the tithe register in 1470. The church was built in neo-Gothic style from 1876 to 1878, but burned down together with the rectory on May 1, 1914. With great economic effort, it was rebuilt from 1923 to 1925, with the tower one floor lower than the previous building.
