Memorial stone for prisoners of the Barth concentration camp | In the concentration camp Barth about 7,000 prisoners were locked up 1945th At the end of April 1945, the prisoners were sent on a death march towards Rostock in front of the approaching Soviet army. Most recently there were 700 to 800 prisoners who met the soldiers of the Red Army near Häschendorf and were thus liberated. A memorial stone at the junction to Häschendorf from the federal road commemorates the death march. |
