Connexion Island ( Yilikamurra ) is an island in the Gulf of Carpentaria in northern Australia . 7.7 km west of Connexion Island is Bickerton Island , 3.3 km east Groote Eylandt . In the north, Bustard Island is the closest land mass, just under ten kilometers away.
In the north of the island there is an approximately 60 hectare freshwater lake .
