The Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is an award for exceptional humanitarian merit. It has been awarded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation since 1996 to non-governmental organizations for special achievements in the remediation of human suffering. The prize money is 1.5 million US dollars and is awarded annually in the fall.

The award is based on the hotelier Conrad Nicholson Hilton's philosophy of offering help to the most needy and the most disadvantaged.

There is a natural law that obliges you and me to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute. Conrad N. Hilton: Last Will and Testament

(Translated: There is a law of nature that obliges us all to bring relief to the suffering, distressed and desperate. )
