Conseil juridique

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Conseil juridique is a former legal profession in France. Next to him there was the avoué , who took on the written preparation of a case, and the avocat , who made the plea in court. In contrast to these two, the conseil juridique was not allowed to take any effective legal action, but only to act in an advisory capacity. This led to the fact that numerous foreign lawyers also settled in France in order to give legal advice against payment, since this did not require membership in a chamber, nor were there any other admission restrictions. In 1990 the conseil juridique was abolished with loi no 90-1259 of December 31, 1990 . Since then, only those who are approved as avocat can provide legal advice .
