Control Program Facility
CPF ( Control Program Facility ; German: Steuerprogramm ) is a mini-computer class operating system introduced in 1979 for the IBM System / 38 . It can also be found in an expanded form in the OS / 400 of the later IBM AS / 400 computers. However, CPF is not derived from the SSP , the operating system of the IBM System / 34 and System / 36.
construction
The control program CPF is an object-based system which can be used by means of the commands of the integrated control language CL . All resources are thus defined as CPF objects using 19 different object types . DDS ( data definition specifications ) are used for the application-independent data description .
