Convergência Ampla de Salvação de Angola

The Convergência Ampla de Salvação de Angola ( CASA ) is a party in Angola . It was created in March 2012 under the leadership of Abel Chivukuvuku as a split from Angola's largest opposition party, UNITA .

In the 2012 elections to the National Assembly of Angola , she ran for the first time. It formed the center of a coalition called CASA-CE (CASA-Coligação Eleitoral = CASA electoral coalition), in which, in addition to CASA itself, a former leading member of the ruling MPLA party, a few small parties and prominent members of civil society took part. CASA-CE achieved a respectable success with 6% of the votes cast and 8 seats in the Angolan National Assembly . In the provinces of Luanda and Cabinda it got double-digit results (12 and 13% of the votes cast, respectively).
