Cool Piet is a fictional television character from the popular Dutch soap opera De Club van Sinterklaas .

This was initially broadcast by the children's channel Fox Kids and since 2005 by Jetix . The character was created after the huge success of the first season and has been a permanent figure in the series since 2001. The role - like the other 20 Pieten in the series - is loosely based on the figure of Zwarten Piet , who is rooted in Dutch customs , a counterpart to Krampus or Knecht Ruprecht . She is portrayed by the Dutch actor Harold Verwoert .
The title songs of the series, which have been sung by Cool Piet since 2001, contributed significantly to the character's popularity. In 2004 a title song was released as a single for the first time. The following year, Coole Piet reached number 1 in the Dutch single charts for the first time with De Streken van Tante Toets . The following year he was able to repeat this success with the theme song of the seventh season.
