Corde (unit)

The cords , with cord called, was a Swedish measure of length .

A law of January 1855 established January 1863 as the start of the new system of measures and weights, with the stipulation that old measures should not be rigorously eliminated.

  • 1 cord / string = 10 rods
  • 1 pole / pole = 10 feet (Swedish) = 2.968 meters
