Cornelius Celer

Cornelius Celer (his prenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .

A dedicatory inscription that was found at the Segedunum fort and which is dated to 201/300 shows that Celer was prefect of the Cohors IIII Lingonum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia .
