Cornificia
Cornificia (* 160; † after December 211) was one of the daughters of the Roman emperor Mark Aurel and his wife Faustina . It was named after her aunt Annia Cornificia Faustina, the deceased younger sister of her father. Cornificia married Senator Marcus Petronius Sura Mamertinus , who was a full consul in 182 and was executed in the period 190-192 on the orders of Cornificia's brother, the Emperor Commodus . Under Emperor Septimius Severus , she married the knight Lucius Didius Marinus for the second time. She became a victim of Caracalla's terrorist policy in old age after she had dared to publicly mourn the violent death of his brother Geta .
