The Court Tombs of Carrowreagh are located in the middle of a peat bog in the townland of the same name ( Irish An Cheathrú Riabhach ), northwest of Aclare in the Slieve Gamph Mountains, near the border with County Mayo in the south of County Sligo in Ireland . The Court Tombs of Carrowreagh were made around 4000-2500 BC in the Neolithic Age . Built in BC.

The southern one is one of the best preserved court tombs in Ireland and a national monument . Access can be made through a small hole in the roof, covered with plates on several levels of orthostats. As with the nearby Court Tomb at Carrowleagh near Bunnyconnellan in County Mayo (about 9.6 km northwest), the courtyard is completely covered by stones and bog.

The Court Tomb of Carrowreagh is oriented west-east, is wedge-shaped in plan, and the remains are about 7.0 m long. The gallery is about 2.0 m wide at the entrance and extends to over 3.0 m. There could have been four end chambers, an unusually high number.

A stone box about 4.0 m long and 1.5 m wide was found 30 m to the southwest.
