The Cröllwitz turkey is a shade of the German turkey.

Cröllwitzer belong to the light turkey breeds .

  • Old cock: 7 to 8 kg
  • Young cock: 6 to 7 kg
  • Old hen: 4 to 5 kg
  • Young hen: 4 to 5 kg

The basic color of Cröllwitzer is white with deep black markings. The back of the rooster is darker than that of the hen. In the first spring, Cröllwitzers are still pure white. Gross flaws in the plumage are other than deep black markings and brown in the plumage.

Cröllwitzer were bred by Alfred Beeck in the training and research institute for poultry in Halle- Cröllwitz .
