Craft (bishop)

Craft († 1066 ) was Goslar Cathedral Provost and was ordained Bishop of Meissen in 1066 , but died shortly afterwards.

Craft also appears with the name Krafto, Crafto, Crato or Christ . German emperors held imperial assemblies in the imperial palace of Goslar and religious life also developed with the Goslar cathedral and the Goslar monastery . Craft was appointed provost here. When Meißner Bishop Reiner died in 1066, Craft was chosen as his successor. Consecrated as a bishop, however, he died before he arrived in Meissen . His death is handed down as a legend.
