Craig Kielburger
Craig Kielburger (born December 17, 1982 in Thornhill , Ontario ) is a Canadian author and advocate for children's rights . The multiple award-winning author and famous speaker was nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Together with his brother Marc Kielburger, at the age of 12, he founded Free The Children , whose book also bears the name, the largest organization in which young people help other young people through education. He is also a co-founder of Leaders Today , an organization that trains young leaders. When he founded the previous organizations at the age of twelve, he became famous as a young social activist.
In 1998 he was honored with the Four Freedoms Award in the category Freedom from Fear in Middelburg , Netherlands .
