crescendo [kʀɛˈʃɛndo] is one of the largest magazines for classical music in the German-speaking area with a circulation of approx. 70,000 copies (print circulation according to IVW Q4 / 2016: 69,998). The magazine appears annually with seven issues. crescendo delivers essays , reviews and a look behind the scenes. The magazine provides discussion material, describes trends, attends premieres and presents the best CDs. Alongside prominent music journalists, authors are the stars of classical music, writers and politicians .

The magazine emerged from the Oper und Konzert magazine, founded in 1963, and has been published under the name crescendo since 1998 . The magazine is published by Port Media GmbH / Munich. The editor is Winfried Hanuschik .
