Crime Library

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Crime Library was an American database whose operators have set themselves the task of describing all kinds of criminal cases in detail. After editor-in-chief Andy Brooks left the Crime Library in August 2014, the site was not updated and was later retired.

Short story

The site was launched in January 1998 by Marilyn J. Bardsley and listed over 600 authentic criminal cases dating back to the 14th century . Even though it is mostly serial killers and criminals from the United States that find their way into the Crime Library , British, Australian and European crimes have also been documented, such as the Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger .

In September 2000, Court TV was launched, a US television company that also rolls up Crime Library cases in television documentaries.

One of these programs is Autopsy - Mysterious Deaths , which can also be seen in Germany on RTL II , and in which mainly cases from Crime Library can be seen.
