The Cuadernos Monásticos (abbreviation CuadMon) are a common order journal of the Benedictines , Cistercians and Trappists of the Cono Sur . The first issue appeared in 1966, until 1968 it was published twice a year, since then the magazine has been published quarterly in Spanish.

The conference of the monastic communities of Cono Sur (SURCO) acts as the editor, in which the male and female branches of the Benedictine, Cistercian and Trappist monasteries in Argentina , Chile , Paraguay and Uruguay are represented. The current director is Maria Isabel Guiroy OSB . The Cuadernos Monásticos have been moved by Agape Libros since 2015.

The articles are grouped around the theme of monastic spirituality . Each edition contains three main parts, the first being articles on the life of monks from all epochs since the first century AD. The second part includes sources of monastic writings from the time of the Church Fathers in Spanish translation. This is followed by reviews of books that deal with the research area of ​​the Cuadernos Monásticos.
